CATHEDRAL YOUTH GROUP (Middle School and High School Aged Youth)

Mr. Ryan Penney leads our Cathedral youth group for children 6th-12th grade (Middle School and High School)! It meets on Sunday evenings at the Cathedral of St. Paul. A full meal is served. The children are welcome to invite their friends (including non-Catholics). For more information, contact Ryan at ryan@stpaulsbhm.org. Full 2022-2023 schedule HERE.

If you are not on our email list for youth group updates, please go to THIS LINK and fill out the form. Please note, the page may say that it is for “high school” (we can’t seem to change that setting!) — but it is for both high school AND middle school!

CATHEDRAL HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS’ STUDY GROUP (High School Girls Only)

Miss Mary-Margaret Blackwood leads a group of high school girls in a faith-based study group on Wednesdays during the school year. Cathedral young ladies are welcome to invite their girl friends, whether non-Catholic or from another area Catholic parish. Refreshments are served. The group meets in the Undercroft at the same time as Fraternus – 6:30pm-8:15pm. For more information, please contact Mary-Margaret at marym.blackwood@gmail.com. Full 2022-2023 schedule HERE.

FRATERNUS (Boys and Men Aged Fifth Grade and Up)

Fraternus meets at the Cathedral of St. Paul on Wednesdays during the school year and is for boys and men 5th grade and up. The group offers authentic fraternity and formation in true masculine virtue. While most of the participants are fathers and sons, some men who have no sons or whose sons are not yet old enough to join come as well. All men and boys are welcome within the stated age range. For more information, contact Fraternus Commander Dr. Eddie Mathews at remathews@uabmc.edu. See more information also on the Fraternus web page.

We are pleased to offer our Cathedral youth groups at no cost to parishioners and the friends they invite. If, however, you would like to donate to help us offset our expenses, we will gratefully accept your donation. Please leave your donation in the collection basket (marked “youth group”), mail a check to the office, or use our convenient e-giving site. Thank you for your generosity!
